Throughout her life, Amy Purdy has defied the odds to accomplish extraordinary things. She grew up with a passion for snowboarding and travel, and despite losing both her legs below the knees to bacterial meningitis at the age of 19, her passion for life carried her to the upper echelons of athletics and onto the dance floor of Hollywood and beyond.
Amy is professional snowboarder and was the bronze medalist in the 2014 Paralympic Games. She is a NY Times best-selling author and a highly requested international motivational speaker. She has toured with Oprah Winfrey to packed arenas across the country. Amy was the runner up on the ABC hit show Dancing with the Stars with her partner Derek Hough. She went on to dance in front of millions of viewers during the opening ceremonies of the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games. In 2017 she took on the roll of Cultural Envoy where she traveled to Brazil and the United States and inspiring women , youth and communities to live their best life.
