Dr. Marcia Schaefer grew up in Wisconsin and got her BS in Biology. Then she entered the field that would forever change her life – chiropractic. Shortly after the birth of her first child, Dr. Marcia was diagnosed with metastatic thyroid cancer. Her experience and journey to recovery (cancer free) taught her about her own optimal performance. She was deeply tested in her training, beliefs and understanding, but this potential death sentence forever changed the way she viewed human health, potential, and the future of our world.

Dr. Marcia is now an instructor for the ICPA and her passion is focused on how chiropractic care prior to conception can enhance our kid’s potential.

Chiropractic and Epigenetics – Our Role in Preconception

Every chiropractor benefits by understanding epigenetics. This presentation will focus on the link between fertility issues, hormones, and epigenetics. We will explore how chiropractic plays a role in fertility – by balancing the nervous system and the enriching the innate power unleashed by a salutogenic approach to healthcare.

Childhood illness has becomes a major concern of parents. These parents are reaching out to chiropractors more than ever with the question – “what can I do to have a healthy child?” One answer lies in working on the parent’s health prior to conception. By focusing on the essentials and having a fully functioning nervous system, parents are better able to navigate the healthcare world and make choices from a salutogenic model. This creates an epigenetic shift in their children. Our children’s health is dependent on the health of the parents. Let’s make the shift together.
